Part III of this eight-part webinar series will examine State Hospital Licensure (General Procedures for State Licensure of Hospitals and Off-site campuses, Certificate of Need Laws, and Special State Attorney General Considerations); Medicare Provider Enrollment (Initial Enrollment, CHOWs, CHINs, and revalidation; 855A's, 855B's, 588's and when to file them; Conditions of Participation; Provider Based Issues; Unique issues for Physician Owned Hospitals; and The Role of The Joint Commission and Other Accrediting Entities); Other commonly required licenses, permits and certifications; Transactional Issues (Where the rubber meets the road: how regulatory issues arise in M&A work; and Special Considerations for Tax Exempt and Public Hospitals); and Hot Trends in Licensure and Provider Enrollment (CMS handling of unreported and late-reported changes to enrollment information; and How hospitals can be impacted when a physician's Medicare number is revoked). 

Level of Difficulty: Fundamental

Fundamental-level programs generally offer topical overviews and are designed to introduce practitioners to issues with which they have little or no familiarity. Speakers will begin the program providing context and background information on this area of health law. This program is designed to provide a basic, general understanding of the subject matter for those who have not practiced law in the specialty and for those with one to two years of experience in this specialty and/or the practice of health law.
