The Intersection of Public Health and Healthcare Law: Emerging Trends in Health Information and Data, All Parts - On Demand Recording

Data collection, use, and sharing are critical to the effective practice of collaborative healthcare and public health. The potential uses and value of health data has increased as technology has advanced bringing an increased need for public health practitioners, health care providers, and their legal counsel to understand the role of law in the creation, storage, use, and re-use of electronic health information for healthcare and public health purposes.Understanding the relevant legal authorities is a critical first step to maximizing the mutual benefit of data sharing between healthcare providers and public health practitioners.

CDC's Public Health Law Program (PHLP) and the American Health Lawyers Association announce a 3-part series of webinars that will provide an overview of health information, data sharing, and the law, and offer related information and resources for lawyers, in-house counsel and academics.
